San Valero Centre is a non-profit Diocesan institution which serves both people and society, engaged in providing secondary, VET and higher education.
Two institutions directly depend on San Valero Centre:
- Centro de Educación Secundaria (Centre for Secondary Education): It is a subsidised institution that offers Compulsory Secondary Education, Bachillerato (A-level), Intermediate and Advanced Training Cycles, and Initial Professional Qualification Programmes. In collaboration with Zaragoza City Council, work is carried out at the Casco Viejo Social and Employment Centre with young, unemployed individuals between sixteen and twenty-five years old, without professional qualifications and who are at risk of dropping out of education.
- Centro de Formación Continua y Ocupacional (Centre for Continuous and Occupational Training) is accredited by the Instituto Aragonés de Empleo, INAEM, (Aragonese Employment institute), with the purpose of providing training for workers and the unemployed by means of both in-person and blended modalities. It covers numerous areas, all of which are related to the current needs of the business environment. It also manages training plans for businesses and offers a mobile classroom, in addition to various mobile workshops which take education to wherever it is needed.
As cross-sections to the aforementioned institutions, San Valero Centre also undertakes and leads European Cooperation and Development Projects. In addition to its guicdance and advisory services in terms of employability, it has a Placement Agency authorised by Public Employment Services.
San Valero Centre has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 2000, guaranteeing our students a quality service. In 2006, it was certified according to ISO 14000, and in 2010 it received the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) verification for its commitment to the environment.
